The Monroe County NY Volunteer Puppy Raisers for Guiding Eyes for the Blind


Congratulations to April Graduate Milton and his partner and raisers. Milton is a triple career dog, as his new partner works in a nursing ome and Milton is a therapy dog there. Bonnie was also notified that Milton could be part of the breeding program in the future. Avalon and Yoga also graduated in April.

On our most recent Guiding Eyes for the Blind graduates. Three dogs from the Monroe region, Avalon, Milton and Yoga graduated on April 26th with their new partners. Congratulations to dogs, partners and raisers!!

Welcome to the Monroe County puppy raisers regional site for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Our puppy raisers devote their love and time to raise a potential guide dog from eight weeks to maturity. We are responsible to teach manners, house train, and socialize our pups with varied situations and everyday experiences, while being especially careful to keep these valuable puppies safe.

The Guiding Eyes mission is to promote the dignity, security and independence of those without sight. Our goal is to support that mission by helping a puppy develop into a well adjusted, mannerly young adult. We share our love and time to help a blind or visually impaired person by giving a GEB puppy a special upbringing.
