About GEB

Avalon is a female Yellow Lab.  She was born on 17 March 2006 and was started by Jennifer, Andrew, Rachel, Amanda & Sarah of Penfield.  Avalon is the first puppy they've raised.  Teresa, Bruce and Jaimee of Henrietta  finished raising her.   Avalon is Teresa's 4th dog raised.  Avalon went to the CDC on 15 September and passed her IFT on 25 September 2007.

Avalon graduated with her new partner, Sandra, on 26 April, 2008.  They now work together in Fall River, Massachusetts.  Avalon and Sandra were part of the Home Training Program provided by Guiding Eyes for experienced guide dog users.  Although the raisers were not able to attend a graduation, they were invited to GEB for a good-bye visit with Avalon before she left.  The last pictures of her slide show are from this visit.

Interesting fact: This Avalon is the second dog with that name raised in the Monroe Region.  The dogs' names are picked out by the whelping and kennel staff at GEB from a long list.  Names of active broods and studs are not reused, but other names are.
