Christa

Christa is a female Yellow Lab. She was born 13 September 2004 and raised by Michelle of Irondequoit as her 1st dog raised. Christa passed her IFT on 21 February 2006 and graduated in July 2006 with her partner Tara W in Schnectedy, NY.

Christa and Tara work for New York State and travel a lot. Every morning when Tara stops for coffee, the waitress slips a dog biscuit in her bag for Christa so they both get a morning treat! Christa has learned to navigate the NYS campus from corner to corner. There are 3 other dogs living with them, so when the team gets home from work, it's a doggie party! Michelle keeps in touch with Tara and was even able to puppy-sit while Tara was on a cruise one summer. While not all raisers and graduates (or adoptive families) keep in touch, t is often said that when a raiser's puppy graduates, you're not losing a dog, you're gaining an extended family!
