Special Notes: Joy's dad, Yuri, was also raised in the Monroe Region.

In 2011, Joy decided that becoming a Guide Dog was not for her but that she'd rather be with children and so she was moved to the Heeling Autism program. In early January 2012, while still in training, Joy became very ill. Within a week she died at Guiding Eyes training school of an agressive form of lymphoma. Joy will be greatly missed by her raiser family and her training school family.
