| Roberta (S) is a female Golden Retriever,
born on 17 June 2005. The (S) means that hers was a special naming.
Originally named Rose, her name was changed in memory/honor of Roberta M.,
a long-time raiser and Area Coordinator assistant from the Southern Tier.
She died in a car accident, and because she loved the Goldens so much (including Heidi,
Ro's doggie mom), it seemed only fitting to request the name change, with advance
permission from the Southern Tier Team Leaders. (One of the other pups in
that litter then had her name changed from Rainbow to Rose).
Roberta was the 7th GEB dog raised by Donna and Dennis of Rochester (who also raised her mom, Heidi). At her IFT on 7 November 2006, Roberta decided that she would rather be back at home and was released to reside happily with her raisers.
