About GEB

Roman (or as we all liked to call him, "The Ro-Man") is a male Yellow Lab.  He was born on 20 June 1996 and was the second dog raised by Stu and Cindy of North Chili.  Roman returned to Guiding Eyes for his IFT and after training, celebrated graduation with his new partner, Vic, in August 1998.

In October 2000,  Roman retired due to medical reasons, and returned to live with Cindy and Stu.  As a veteran guide, he became a great public relations dog for our region!

In the summer of 2008, Roman was diagnosed with a lung lobe carcinoma.  After a brief illness, he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 16 July 2008.  He will be remembered as a great puppy, special guide, kids' companion, and special pal as a retiree living with Cindy and Stu and their other Guiding Eyes puppies and dogs.  He brought much love and joy to everyone.  His time with us will be treasured.
