About GEB

Tommy  (or "Tommy-Dog", as we like to call him) is a male Black Lab, born 12 March 1999.  He was raised by Carrie of Henrietta, her xth dog raised.  Tommy passed his IFT on 17 January 2001 and began formal Guide Dog training.  He graduated with Bob on 19 May 2001.  He returned to Guiding Eyes for retraining and graduated again on 26 January 2002.

Interesting fact:  Sometimes partnerships between dogs and humans don't work out as well as planned despite careful research.  In these rare cases, GEB evaluates the dog after it's return and when able to, retrains the dog for pairing with another visually impaired person.

Interesting fact:  Tommy-Dog has his own website!

Congratulations Tommy (and Carrie)!
