About GEB
Welby is a male Black Lab. He was born 25 August 2004 and was the first GEB dog raised by Helen and Peter of Pittsford. Raising Welby has been a life changing experience for these raisers.  Welby passed his IFT 21
February 2006 but during training, decided that this was not the career for him and he really wanted to come home to his "parents".

He has returned home to live with Peter and Helen as their much loved (and pampered) pet and a great role model for other GEB puppies they raise. Since being released by GEB, Welby  has successfully passed the Canine Good Citizen test administered through the American Kennel Club and has been certified as a therapy dog through the Delta Society. Welby can best be described as a "gentle giant".   He is a large dog with a very handsome blocky head, but with an extremely sensitive and gentle disposition.   He willingly shares his space and his toys with his "GEB brothers" and other GEB overnight guests.   He is a regular "volunteer" with Pete at the Ronald McDonald House and adored by all who meet him.
